Phase synchronization is a necessary problem in bistatic SAR systems. The traditional phase synchronization problem is solved by the synchronization link between bistatic SAR systems. However, the synchronization link greatly increases the system complexity and periodically interrupts the SAR data acquisition process, thereby introducing new errors. This article further discusses the phase synchronization method in the echo domain under alternating bistatic mode. Changes in terrain fluctuations may cause the phase synchronization method to fail. Therefore, an improved phase synchronization method in the echo domain under alternating bistatic mode is proposed, which adopts the mode of cross transmitting signals from the two bases and extracts sub aperture phase information, The phase synchronization of bistatic SAR is achieved using a method based on the joint processing of information in the bistatic echo domain. Simulation experiments have verified the correctness of theoretical analysis and the effectiveness of the method, providing theoretical support for this method.
