The entry campaign in 2023, as in the previous one, took place in difficult conditions of martial law, that is, uncertainty, tension in society, constant risks of danger, the announcement of air warning signals, possible shelling and destruction, the presence of entrants from temporarily occupied territories. All this requires maximum avoidance of crowding and digitization. In addition, one should not forget about ensuring the quality of higher education. Therefore, the rules of admission to institutions of higher education have undergone certain changes. Among the main ones, it should be noted the use of the results of the evaluation of motivation letters for admission to the contract form of study in certain specialties, conducting face-to-face and/or remote interviews, which is very important for entrants from the temporarily occupied territories, as well as the need to pass a national multi-subject test, a single entrance exam and a single professional entrance test depending on the level of higher education and specialty. The results of the 2023 admission campaign to the Dniprovsky State Technical University were analyzed and measures were proposed to improve the work of the university in order to increase the number of applicants in the following years. As the results of the study show, more attention should be paid to the specialties of the faculties of economics and social communications and metallurgy from the point of view of encouraging the admission of education seekers. This especially applies to specialties 071 Accounting and taxation, 101 Ecology, 104 Physics and astronomy, 161 Chemical technologies and engineering, 162 Biotechnology and bioengineering. Also, admission to specialty 113 Applied Mathematics is very low. Comparing the general indicators of admission at the bachelor's and master's levels, it is also possible to conclude about the need to develop measures to encourage entrants to study at the Dniprovsky State Technical University master's program. Among the main measures to increase the number of entrants to the university in the coming years, the following can be noted: establishment of a lower tuition fee compared to other institutions of higher education in the region and region, especially for specialties with low demand among entrants, conducting career guidance work and advertising activities, including Open Door Days, support for entrants and students of education, for example, organization of preparatory courses on a national multi-subject test subjects, in-depth study of a foreign language.
