This scientific work is devoted to the consideration of the features of the normative consolidation of human and civil rights and freedoms in the legislation of the Russian Federation. To do this, the author examines the main ideas and their normative expression in various historical periods, from the reign of Peter I to the present. The author dwells in more detail on the analysis of the current stage of development of constitutional liberalism and notes the prospects for further reform of the designated category. In conclusion of the scientific research, the author focuses on the fact that currently, in the context of the normative consolidation of human and civil rights and freedoms in Russian legislation, there are all the necessary prerequisites for continuing the implementation of democratic and liberal reforms.
