The article examines the transformation of the legal concept of personhood under the influence of the development of biotechnologies, neurosciences, and digitalization (biolegality) in the post‑industrial era. Based on an analysis of domestic philosophical and legal approaches and the interdisciplinary concept of biolegality, the article considers the change in the foundations of the concept of personhood. Attention is paid to the genetic and digital aspects in the process of transforming the concept of personhood. The article conducts a comparative legal analysis of the experience of Australia, as one of the leaders in the field of institutionalizing biolegality, and the Russian Federation, where the regulation of these relations is still fragmented. The conclusion is that it is necessary to develop systemic post‑industrial legal means to protect personhood from new, complex threats.
