A colorimetric sensor array based on homochiral metal–organic-framework films in Fabry–Pérot cavities is presented. The sensor read-out is generated by recording the RGB values with a common smartphone camera, and the data are analyzed with a simple machine-learning algorithm. In addition to the enantioselective detection of chiral odor molecules, the sensor system enables the discrimination of a large number of commercial perfume scents.
