This study focuses on the fabrication and design of personal protective masks using electrospinning technology. The study addresses the importance of personal protective masks in the context of the COVID-19 or n-CoV2019 outbreak and healthcare settings. Electrospinning, a method for producing ultra-thin, flexible, and wearable nanofibers, is explored as the basis for creating these masks. This study aims to investigate the potential of electrospun masks for enhanced performance and protection. Through a comprehensive review of past research and studies, the study aims to contribute to the knowledge base for future scholars. The key focus areas include the electrospinning technology, the selection of materials, and the design and fabrication process of personal protective masks. Additionally, the study discusses the performance characteristics of each layer of the mask, including super hydro performance, super filter and air purity performance, and super antibacterial performance. The study also explores the application of smart devices, such as disposable masks with respiration sensors, surgical masks with antibacterial features, and 3D-printed masks for highly polluted areas. Overall, this study provides valuable insights into the development and potential of electrospun personal protective masks.
