We present a case of a 48-years old man with 13 years history of idiopathic diffuse pulmonary ossification.Initially, unspecified lesions on chest radiograph were observed in 2003, however they were not verified until December 2010, when high resolution computed tomography of the chest was performed.Multiple, micronodular, calcified opacities in middle and lower parts of both lungs were described (Figure 1 A,B).Then, in February 2011, a lung biopsy during video-assisted thoracoscopy was performed.Histopathological examination revealed presence of mature bone tissue within the lung parenchyma (Figure 1C).At the first admission to our department in March 2011, patient did not report symptoms, had no history of chronic diseases, medications or tobacco use.
