To crack the current problem of lack of fault data and the strong need for expertise in diagnosis in specific areas, this paper analyses the existing rotating machinery fault datasets in time-domain and frequency-domain indicators and finds three of which are indicative of the fault state of rotating machinery. Through the comparative analysis of vibration data in different dimensions, it is shown that the three indicators are not affected by the location of data collection in indicating the failure state of rotating machinery, which is of positive significance for the study of whether the rotating machinery is in a failure state in a specific field.
