This study evaluated the content and features of 34 active websites of private hospitals in Jordan using a comprehensive 99-item checklist covering technical aspects, services, external activities, and COVID-19 sections.Three evaluators independently coded the websites in August 2021.Results showed an average score of 38% across the hospitals, indicating major room for improvement.Technical characteristics and social media engagement scored higher than other categories like medical services and COVID-19.The websites are still predominantly used as information repositories rather than channels for interaction. This suggests website quality and utilization remains relatively low and ineffective among Jordanian hospitals.Administrators must regularly update content to boost patient communication and trust.
