The article is dedicated to the study of digitalization of electoral procedures and assurance of trust of citizens in the electoral process. The article reviews the procedure for organization of and holding elections and observance of applicable legal requirements, the author analyzes the introduction of electronic voting in this process. Strengthening of democratic processes in the Russian Federation directly depends on the civil involvement in the political life of the country including in elections of the head of the state.
