Talkative Power Conversion (TPC) unifies power with integrated data modulation in power electronic converters. However, it requires by design that higher harmonic contents are allowed to propagate in a system of converters, which might lead to Electromagnetic Interference (EMI). Therefore, this paper proposes a TPC modulation strategy based on Binary Frequency Shift-Keying (B-FSK) diffused with spread spectrum techniques to confine the EMI signal powers below a threshold. The proposed EMI-Compatible TPC modulation method is validated on a synchronous DC/DC converter.
