Pushed to their limit, tip-enhanced photoluminescence and electroluminescence can be used to generate sub-molecularly resolved fluorescence maps of individual molecules. Combined with spectral selection and time-correlated measurements, these hyper-resolved fluorescence microscopies allowed us to scrutinize the vibronic and charged states of individual molecules, to track the motion of hydrogen atoms within free-based phthalocyanine molecules, and to follow resonance energy transfers between individual pigments. These results constitute an important step towards photonic measurements with atoms-scale resolution.
