Climate change has been increasingly perceived throughout the world, regardless of the causes, attention must be paid to how to prevent climatic change’s impact from causing the loss of human lives and so much damage to local economies and widespread effects on national economies. Urban planning, public policies and individual initiatives are important for reducing effects. Civil construction, as the main vehicle for transforming the natural environment into a built environment, is one of the main axes of transformation and prevention from the point of view of structure and infrastructure, and all economic sectors must be involved, respecting the cultural and regional characteristics of each nation. Climate change is too big for us to contain, however, minimising the effects and providing cities and the population with security and more appropriate means to overcome difficulties in the event, as well as providing rapid state organization to help victims and prevent human losses is essential and depends on prior planning, always alert, and constantly updated.
