Solar photovoltaic (PV) systems are now incorporating Internet of Things (IoT) solutions due to the growing demand for renewable energy sources & technological improvements. To improve the effectiveness and performance of solar energy harvesting, this study provides a novel Internet of Things-based system for measuring, monitoring, and tracking solar PV panels. To maximize solar energy use, the suggested system combines sensor technologies, communication protocols, and data analytics. To continuously gather data on characteristics like temperature, voltage, current, and irradiance, a variety of sensors are deployed on the solar PV panels as part of the monitoring element of the system. This data helps pinpoint areas in need of improvement and optimize system performance.Accurate solar energy output measurement is essential for evaluating the system's efficiency in addition to monitoring. The suggested system also includes sun tracking technology. The solar panels dynamically change their orientation to follow the course of the sun, ensuring optimal exposure to sunlight, thanks to the integration of IoT-enabled actuators and controllers.Particularly in areas with variable solar angles and seasonal variations, this solar tracking capability greatly improves the overall energy harvesting efficiency.
