This paper presents an innovative design for an automatic control system for electrode lifting in electrofused magnesium furnaces, addressing the issues of energy consumption and equipment stability in the production of electrofused magnesia sand. As an important refractory material, the traditional production process of electrofused magnesia sand is characterized by large fluctuations in electric current, leading to equipment damage and energy waste. This study collects three-phase electrode current signals and implements A/D conversion, using PLC and G120 variable frequency drives to intelligently control three-phase motors, achieving automatic adjustment of electrode lifting. Additionally, the use of Siemens software allows for the switching between manual and automatic control, aiming to reduce energy consumption, alleviate the labor intensity of operators, and improve product quality. This innovation not only optimizes the production process of electrofused magnesia sand but also contributes new ideas to the development of intelligent manufacturing technology.
