We describe the effect of the Fe layer thickness on the antiferromagnetic interlayer exchange coupling in <a:math xmlns:a="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><a:msub><a:mrow><a:mo>[</a:mo><a:mi>Fe</a:mi><a:mo>/</a:mo><a:mi>MgO</a:mi><a:mo>]</a:mo></a:mrow><a:mi>N</a:mi></a:msub></a:math> superlattices. An increase in coupling strength with increasing Fe layer thickness is observed, which highlights the need for including the extension of both layers when discussing the interlayer exchange coupling in superlattices.
