Distributed control of (BESSs) battery energy storage systems plays an significant role in the practical operation of microgrid. This paper studies the power tracking and (SoC) state-of-charge balancing issues for BESSs under the premise that only partial battery units can access the desired power. Two prespecified-time observers based distributed control strategy are proposed to solve these problem effectively. The main contributions include: (i) we design the average desired power and battery state observers with the prespecified-time convergence, which can be determined in advance and independent of initial states or control parameters. (ii) we extend the existing results from an undirected graph to a directed graph, which leads to analysis difficulty due to the asymmetry of the corresponding Laplacian matrix. Our analysis results show that the proposed method can achieve fast power tracking and SoC balancing, which have been further confirmed via simulation examples.
