In recent years, compressed CO 2 energy storage (CCES) systems have attracted increasing attention, because the high-pressure storage tanks in the CCES systems are relatively small, thereby reducing investment costs and improving geographic construction flexibility. In this paper, we propose a gas-liquid CCES system that has strong industrial feasibility. A comprehensive thermodynamic evaluation and parametric analysis were performed for this system. The results show that the efficiency is 72.99% and the storage pressure is an important parameter influencing the thermal performance of this system, and the reasons behind it are explored.
