This study refers to a university extension project, with the objective of carrying out Therapeutic Workshops, developed in a Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS), considered a strategic device for the Brazilian Psychiatric Reform and for Mental Health care within the scope of the System Unified Health System (SUS). In this study, the theoretical-methodological contribution of Social Psychology was used, in addition to records in field diaries, which, in turn, supported the writing of this experience report. Through Therapeutic Workshops in Mental Health, Psychology course students had the opportunity to contribute to the psychosocial rehabilitation process, getting closer to comprehensive health care, allowing them to explore and act in the field of Mental Health. Its activities include observation and carrying out Therapeutic Workshops together with CAPS II users. The meetings contributed to strengthening community spaces for coexistence, social inclusion, expression of feelings, autonomy and the development of participants' social and cognitive skills, through group activities, promoting self-confidence.
