In this article, a new Modi-Exponential distribution is considered under Type-I and Type-II censoring. Some statistical and reliability characteristics of the distribution are specified. Statistical inferences of the Modi-Exponential parameters based on Type-I and Type-II censored data are discussed. The maximum likelihood estimation method is used for estimation of unknown parameters along with reliability characteristics. Asymptotic confidence intervals are also obtained for interval estimation. Monte-Carlo Simulation study is performed to study the performances of estimators. Further, two real data sets are provided to illustrate the results..
