As a huge and complex system, the power grid involves multiple levels and various interconnected components, making it difficult to monitor operational risks in real-time. Therefore, this study proposes a real-time risk monitoring method in the power grid operation based on cloud-edge collaboration technology. Through cloud edge collaboration technology, data processing results are designed and an extreme gradient boosting clustering (XGBoost) algorithm is used to complete data clustering. The risk level of real-time operation in the power grid is calculated and the real-time operation risk monitoring in the power grid is completed. The experimental results indicate that the application process of the research method has a shorter delay and higher accuracy.
