To obtain the impact of CO 2 capture in a coal-fired power plant on the operation flexibility of the plant, a 600 MW sub-critical power plant was selected as the case, and sensitive analysis of different operation parameters was carried out to obtain the operation characteristics of the plant under various operating conditions. The results show that the operation flexibility of the coal-fired power plant with a 90% CO 2 capture ratio will be reduced by 23.73% and the impact on the operation flexibility of the plant will gradually increase with the increase in the size of the plant, and the use of advanced low-energy solvents can reduce the impact of CO 2 capture on the operation flexibility of the power plant.
