With new technology now available to help identify in real-time the presence of RCS in a working environment, this presentation will discuss the technology used, the data it can store, and the advantages of how real-time measurement when used in conjunction with traditional gravimetric sampling can help improve the decision-making process when RCS is present. The presentation will look at scientific data from the instrument manufacturer, data supplied by a number of customers who have used the technology over the past 12 months on a number of different application sites, and the conclusions raised. The objective of the presentation is to help the audience understand the advantages of using different technologies to help improve decision-making. Some background information on Silica dust will be included in the presentation, with the main focus on the real-time technology and the data that it records. The current legislation will be discussed, along with the advancements in technology, and how the future looks for monitoring/detecting hazardous materials across the industry. This is an educational presentation - using the knowledge gained from working with the product along with information our customers have shared with us.
