Changes of functional activity of the thyroid gland associated with a gradual increase in deuterium content was studied. An increase in the synthesis of thyroid hormones with further pineal disfunc-tion and later normalizing of thyroid hormone production was found. A gradual increase in the production of Na+/I-symporter followed all the changes in thyroid profile.
