Introduction: Decolonizing Palestine—the content of liberation

Editor's note (Robbie Shilliam): This forum was received in March 2023, at least six months before the events of 7th October and the war that has followed.As Editor of the Reviews section, I decided against asking the contributors to update their essays in light of subsequent events for two key reasons.Firstly, the forum, as it is, provides diverse critical engagements with the political and military strategies of Hamas enriched by capacious literatures and concepts.Secondly, because these essays do not directly reference the current war, they provide a vantage point from which readers might sharpen their own assessments of the ethical and political stakes of the conflict across time, that is, before, during and putatively after.
