Geopolymer concrete (GPC) has the dual advantages of carbon reduction and solid waste reuse. In recent years, GPC has become the focus of the building material industry, but the unstable mechanical properties and brittle damage characteristics of GPC make its engineering application scope is limited. The crack resistance and toughness of fiber reinforced GPC can improve its toughness, but the improvement of mechanical properties varies with different types of fibers and fiber volume contents. This paper analyzes the influence of fiber type and fiber volume content on the mechanical properties of GPC based on the data conducted by domestic and foreign scholars. The statistical results show that different fiber reinforced GPC has their own optimal fiber volume content, and the effect of fibers on the mechanical properties of GPC varies. The addition of fibers has little effect on the compressive strength of GPC, while the improvement of flexural performance, toughness, and energy absorption capacity is significant.
