Objectives Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the body composition, levels of physical activity, and injury status among air force academy cadets prior to a four-week basic training program, and to analyze the effects of physical fitness training during the basic training program. Methods Among 232 pre-service cadets, 138 pre-service cadets who experienced injuries before the basic training and 138 pre-service cadets who did not experience injuries were selected as final subjects. The subjects were divided into two groups; the injured group and the uninjured group. Physical fitness training was conducted for 4 weeks, and physical composition and physical fitness were measured. Results There was no significant difference in body composition between the exercise injury group and the non-injury group. In muscular endurance, the exercise injury group showed a high level in push-up and curl-up events, and a low level in cardiopulmonary endurance. Conclusions The rate of injury of the pre-service cadets was about 17% during personal training, but after 4 weeks of basic training and physical training, they were able to participate in training normally after recovering to some extent through intervention after injury.,In the future, if the exercise period, method, intensity, etc. are set and applied according to the injury, it is expected that a greater effect can be expected.
