Jones fractures, a fifth metatarsal metaphyseal-diaphyseal junction fracture, pose challenges in treatment due to poor blood supply and biomechanical stress. This case study introduces a unique approach to address nonunion cases, employing a combination of cannulated cancellous (CC) screw, distal radius plate, and allograft for stable reconstruction. The conventional methods of single-modality fixation are associated with significant risks, prompting exploration of alternative techniques. The presented approach not only provided stable fixation but also facilitated successful bone healing, eliminating complications such as refracture, implant failure, or infection. Nevertheless, it is crucial to do additional study including bigger groups of participants and longer observation periods in order to confirm the effectiveness and safety of this groundbreaking method.
