This letter proposes a dual-layer printed ridge gap waveguide (PRGW)-fed antenna with shared-aperture radiation in dual wide bands. The designed antenna incorporates a Ku -band magneto-electric (ME) dipole and a Ka -band Fabry-Perot (F-P) radiator within a stacked structure. The ground of the Ku -band ME dipole, which is periodically etched with slots, is reused as the partially reflective surface (PRS) with a gentle reflective phase gradient of the F-P radiator. In addition, mushroom-shaped electromagnetic band-gap (EBG) array for the Ku -band PRGW is shared as the radiation source of the Ka -band F-P radiator. Consequently, the upper ME dipole operates within the frequency range of 14.4 ∼ 15.7 GHz, while the lower F-P radiator operates from 25.2 to 30.4 GHz. The Ku - and Ka -band radiators both show high-gain broadside radiation with their peak realized gains of 10.8 dBi and 11.6 dBi, respectively.
