Introduction. Additive manufacturing has received significant attention in recent years as a promising technology that can produce complex parts and custom designs with high precision and accuracy. But optimization of additive manufacturing processes still remains a serious challenge due to the complexity of the process and the variety of materials used for 3D printing. Predictive mathematical modeling is a fundamental and powerful tool for improving additive manufacturing processes, thereby providing the best understanding of principles and predicting process behavior. The main objective of this academic research work is to explore the fundamentals, applications and benefits of predictive mathematical modeling in additive manufacturing. This paper discusses the basic principles of mathematical modeling in additive manufacturing, the development of predictive models, and the challenges that arise when applying mathematical modeling to this process. It includes specific examples of the use of predictive modeling in additive manufacturing and highlights ways to improve the process and promote innovation and efficiency. The results of this research demonstrate the great potential of predictive mathematical modeling in the development of the additive manufacturing sector.
