In this paper, the rime-ice optimization algorithm is used to optimize the array antenna, in general the rime-ice optimization algorithm is just beginning to be used to optimize the array antenna. The rime-ice optimization algorithm is a new evolutionary class of algorithms inspired by the phenomenon of rime-ice in nature. The algorithm iterates over the populations by updating them through two mechanisms, soft fog search as well as hard fog puncture in conjunction with upward positive greedy selection, to finalize the optimal result. In this paper, the current amplitude is optimized by controlling the antenna array element spacing and phase invariance so that the array directional map has a minimum side lobe level (SLL). To show the capability of the RIME algorithm in optimizing antenna arrays, two examples are given in this paper. The RIME optimization algorithm outperforms non-optimized and other known meta-heuristic optimization algorithms in suppressing the peak SLL. This definitely proves the feasibility of the RIME algorithm for antenna array optimization and even other problems in Electromagnetics.
