On February 6, 2023, Turkey was struck by a powerful earthquake, ranked as the fifth largest earthquake of the 21st century. This catastrophic event prompted an immediate international response, and global humanitarian efforts were mobilized to assist the affected region. One of their primary focus was to rescue survivors trapped beneath the rubble. This study aims to serve as a reference for refining search and rescue (SAR) operations as it discusses the international aid received, including SAR teams from various countries and financial and material relief. Our goal is to enhance the effectiveness of future SAR efforts by evaluating available databases, assumptions, and inputs, and by fostering dialogue that leads to systematic planning and improved response strategies.
