Abstract Little is known about the scientific literature regarding the new revolutionary tool, ChatGPT. We aim to perform a Scientometric analysis to identify ChatGPT-related publications A comprehensive study delving into the realm of ChatGPT has been undertaken, utilizing a robust methodology. Leveraging web of science, 1298 documents were meticulously analyzed through scientometrics, shedding light on publishing trends, productive countries, and keyword dynamics. The year 2023 witnessed a surge in scientific productivity centered around ChatGPT, with a substantial corpus of 1298 documents contributing to the discourse. The average citations per document, standing at approximately 9.298, underscore the significant engagement and interest within the academic community. collaborative nature of research on ChatGPT is evident from the involvement of 3938 authors, with an average of 3.73 co-authors per document. This indicates a significant level of collaboration within the scholarly community, fostering interdisciplinary exchange and knowledge sharing. Annals of Biomedical Engineering" stands out with a significant h-index of 150 and an impact factor of 3.8. With 250 total citations and 42 publications, this journal, published by Springer Netherlands, has been instrumental in advancing knowledge at the intersection of biomedical engineering and artificial intelligence, including the application of ChatGPT in healthcare contexts.Another prominent source is "Nature," renowned for its high impact factor of 69.5 and impressive h-index of 1331. The United States leads the pack with 310 articles, indicating a significant contribution to research on ChatGPT. China closely follows with 250 articles, demonstrating the growing presence and investment in AI-related research within the country.India emerges as a notable contributor with 156 articles, showcasing its increasing involvement in advancing knowledge and understanding of ChatGPT.
