Topicality. To date, the issue of treating infected and purulent wounds has not yet been resolved, so the search for new means to improve the wound process is urgent. The purpose of the study: to carry out a morphological assessment of the eff ectiveness of the use of the immunomodulator Blastomunil in the treatment of infected wounds in an experiment. Material and methods. To evaluate the eff ectiveness of blastomunil, 3 research groups were formed, each with 10 rats. Wounds (1.5Ч1.5 cm) were made under anesthesia, and they were infected with 0.2 ml of a microbial mixture that included S. Aureus and P. Аureginosa. The fi rst group was not treated. The II group of animals was treated from the 2nd day by a single intramuscular injection of 0.12 mg of blastomunil; The III group of animals was treated by local application of 0.12 mg blastomunil to the wound. To evaluate the morphological changes of the wound process of the animals, on the 3rd, 7th, 10th and 14th day, the animals under anesthesia were removed from the experiment. Prepared histopreparations. Microscopy and photography were carried out using a light microscope EUROMEX microscopes Holland IScope 1153-PLI under magnifi cation of 50, 10 and 400 times. Results and discussion. According to the results of the morphological analysis, a positive eff ect of the use of Blastomunil was revealed, thanks to the faster cleaning of wounds, the reduction of the number of microbes due to the increased increase in lymphocytes and macrophages, and the faster regenerative process with the development of connective tissue and epithelization of the wound. Moreover, with local use of Blastomunil, this process was better expressed than with intramuscular use. Conclusion. The results of an experimental study show that when applied locally, the use of the immunomodulator Blastomunil contributes to faster wound cleansing, a reduction in the number of microorganisms due to the stimulation of the increase of lymphocytes and macrophages, and a faster regenerative process with the development of connective tissue and wound epithelization. With intramuscular use, positive changes are also observed, but they are somewhat less pronounced.
