Clinically it is possible to verify diff erent forms of anomalies of vermiform appendix, which are very rare and can be in wide range. Namely: agenesia, atresia, duplication, and the so-called giant appendix. Most often forms are agenesia and duplication of vermiform appendix. First case of appendix agenesia was described in 1719. This is rare congenital anomaly, which occurs in 0,001 % (1:100.000) of laparotomies, which were reasoned by the possibility of acute appendicities. Diagnosis of this rare state should be confi rmed most often during abdominal surgeries after visualisation investigations. Article describes the results of own clinical observations of the appendix absence case. We consider such a description demonstrative during practical classes in state and English languages at pre- and postgraduate levels.
