Momentum is used in the dictionary to mean "the acquisition of power through motion or a series of events". In sports, a team or a player may feel that they have momentum in the sport they are competing in. Athletes with "momentum" are often considered to have an advantage. To study the influencing factors of athletes' momentum, this paper uses the data of the men's match of Wimbledon Open 2023, adopts the Random Forest Model to filter the features affecting momentum, and obtains the five most important factors affecting the momentum of tennis players; and adopts the BP neural network to fit the athletes' movement state, and predicts the fluctuation of the situation. Studying the characteristics of momentum influence, understanding the development of momentum and the timing of its formation can provide a clearer understanding of the reality of the athlete's situation, which can allow the athlete and the coach to analyze and train in a more targeted way to achieve the effect of improving sports performance.
