In recent years, there has been a degradation in power quality due to the widespread use of modern electronic devices. Office buildings, in particular, employ a variety of devices such as computers and LCD monitors, contributing to a decrease in power factor and an increase in harmonic distortion. This article delves into the investigation of the impact of total harmonic distortion of voltage on power consumption parameters, specifically focusing on two types of computer power sources and LCD monitors. The results demonstrate that diminished power quality leads to an increase in nonactive power and exerts influence on the power factor of commonly used devices in office buildings.
