Historically, Amman's seven hills made stairways vital for navigation. As the city grew, stairways, especially Jordan's Cinema Steps, became social hubs rather than just functional paths. This research examines the transformation of these steps, drawing from Ingold's "Dwelling" and Heidegger's "Dasein." It also explores "place attachment" and its link to the stairway's users. The core question is: how do interactions shape the place's authenticity and identity? Findings suggest dwelling practices reinforce the Steps' role as an urban landmark, informing urban planners about potential revitalization of other stairways in Amman.
