The wind turbine drivetrain testing facility (WTDTF) is an important tool for simulating actual wind turbines(WT), and studying its simulation accuracy is of great significance for the development and verification of wind turbine control strategies. Due to the significant impact of friction damping on the simulation accuracy of the WTDTF damping correction is needed. This article finds that the current damping correction strategy based on speed-damping torque fitting ignores the influence of temperature, load torque, and other factors on damping characteristics, resulting in a decrease in the accuracy of WTDTF in simulating the actual mechanical dynamic characteristics of wind turbines. Therefore, this article proposes an online damping torque correction strategy for the WTDTF based on torque feedback from device under test, which dynamically compensates for the damping torque of the drivetrain. Furthermore, a fuzzy PID control strategy with adaptive PID control parameters is proposed to address the problem of slow response speed of PID controllers. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed strategy was verified through simulation.
