In order to meet the stability and reliability requirements of tuning technology in the optical module industry, a reliable Manchester encoding and decoding method is proposed. Firstly, a combination of the controller's configurable logic unit and serial peripheral interface is used to generate Manchester voltage waveforms, resolving the issue of generating Manchester signals. Secondly, an operational amplifier and field-effect transistor are utilized to generate a current signal corresponding to the signal, which is then connected to the negative terminal of the laser to address the problem of loading the Manchester signal. Finally, the programmable logic unit and SPI module in the controller are used to extract the clock and facilitate decoding, mitigating resource consumption concerns. The design is tested using self-loop testing software, and the results demonstrate that it can achieve reliable encoding and decoding, meeting the practical needs of optical modules.
