The objective of the didactic prototype is to regulate the speed of a Direct Current (DC) motor using a sliding mode control (SMC), a robust control suitable for engineering students. The methodology used to calculate the CMD to a DC motor is presented, as well as its simulation using MATLAB/Simulink software and the construction of a prototype to apply the control law in real-time with the help of LabVIEW software.
