Under the influence of rainfall and groundwater, the moisture content of the roadbed in service undergoes changes, especially in seasonally frozen areas. Roadbeds in excessively wet and humid conditions are more susceptible to frost heave and settlement, thereby impacting driving safety. This study aims to investigate the water absorption and conductivity of core absorbent geotextiles under water replenishment conditions to address the challenge of increased moisture content in roadbeds. By introducing traditional geotextiles, core suction geotextiles, and no geotextiles into a sand column, with water head height and water replenishment method as variables, this study explores humidity changes at different positions within the soil column. The findings indicate that core absorbent geotextiles exhibit water absorption and conductivity capabilities, effectively influencing water content variation within a specific range.
