This paper proposes a novel optimal frequency control strategy to maximize the wireless power transfer (WPT) energy efficiency across a wide load range and coupling conditions. The proposed approach focuses on achieving the optimal frequency over the feasible frequency range by meeting the optimal resistive and reactive equivalent load conditions simultaneously. The effectiveness of the method is demonstrated through a 48W simulated WPT system. The performance of the proposed control method is evaluated for load variations from 20% to 100% and coupling coefficient variations from 0.1 to 0.3. Comparative analysis with the state-of-the-art control method shows significant improvements in terms of efficiency under different operating conditions.
