The adsorption study of Methylene Blue (MB) was examined from an aqueous solution onto Sarpgandha leaf powder (SLP).The study analyzed the equilibrium and kinetics of the adsorption process to comprehend the mechanism and efficiency of SLP as an adsorbent for MB removal.Batch adsorption techniques were conducted under varying initial dye concentrations, contact times, pH and temperatures. The adsorption process followed a monolayer mechanism, with a maximum capacity of 144.87 mg/g at 305.9 K, as determined by Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models. The kinetic studies were conducted to assess the rate of adsorption, and the experimental data was analyzed using pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order models. The The study investigates the use of SLP as an ecofriendly and effective adsorbent for removing cationic dyes from aqueous solutions, utilizing pseudo-second-order kinetics.
