Ricinus communis, commonly known as the castor bean plant, is a tropical plant renowned for its diverse pharmacological properties. This research paper explores the pharmacognostic characteristics of Ricinus communis and evaluates its potential as an anti -hyperlipidemic agent. Pharmacognostic studies, including macroscopic and microscopic examinations, physicochemical analysis, and phytochemical screening, were conducted to establish the identity and quality of the plant material. Additionally, an in vivo antihyperlipidemic activity study was conducted using animal models to assess the efficacy of Ricinus communis in lowering lipid levels. The findings of this study demonstrate the potential of Ricinus communis as a natural remedy for hyperlipidemia and provide essential data for its utilization in traditional and modern medicine.
