The article presents the results of research on the productivity of miscanthus x giganteus variety "Osinniy Zoretsvit" and salix viminalis variety "Zbruch" at the pilot site established at the Yaltushkiv research and selection station of the IBCSB NAAS in accordance with the project "Sustainable cultivation of biomass on marginal lands in Europe" (SEEMLA , Grant No. 691874) of the EU Horizon 2020 program. It was established that on low-productivity lands in conditions of unstable moisture, miscanthus x giganteus and salix viminalis plants reach a height of 2.58 and 4.16 m, respectively, at the end of the second year of vegetation, and the yield of dry biomass is 20.6 and 20.7 t/ha.
