This paper introduces a novel device leveraging Raspberry Pi technology to revolutionize smart board systems by incorporating gesture-based interaction. The device integrates a camera module to capture hand gestures within its proximity and employs a machine learning model to interpret these gestures, subsequently triggering specific features. Positioned as an affordable alternative to conventional smart board systems, the proposed solution eliminates the high cost associated with touch-based displays by implementing touch interactivity through a gesture-based system. By leveraging Raspberry Pi's capabilities, the device offers a cost-effective solution for enhancing user interaction and engagement within educational and collaborative environments. Through rigorous experimentation and validation, the efficacy and practicality of the device are demonstrated. This research contributes to advancing cost-effective technology solutions for modern educational settings, facilitating innovative approaches to interactive learning experiences.
