DC-DC converters are a driving force in the Electric Vehicle industry. Due to power management, it is necessary to implement Bidirectional converters in Ev's. Bidirectional converters provide flow of power in both the direction. But due to switching action, voltage and current stress are very high because of high switching frequency which results in physical damage of switch. An Interleaved Bidirectional DC-DC converter helps to reduce current and voltage stress and increases efficiency. In this paper, the analysis of Interleaved Bidirectional Buck-Boost DC-DC converter for battery charging and discharging application is executed in comparison with Bidirectional Buck-Boost DC-DC converter and results are validated through simulation in MATLAB environment.
