Despite comprehensive systemic therapy, the treatment of patients with advanced colorectal cancer remains unsatisfactory. In the specific case of this study, the subject was initially diagnosed with liver metastasis from colon cancer (microsatellite stable or proficient mismatch repair subtype), along with incomplete intestinal obstruction and failure to respond to systemic chemotherapy. A clinical complete response was achieved after five sessions of transarterial chemoembolization combined with hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy, followed by treatment with regorafenib and sintilimab. The result was a progression-free survival of up to 24 months. This study suggests a potential therapeutic approach for the management of late-stage colorectal malignancy. Furthermore, therapeutic efficacy may be improved through the integration of appropriate interventions with protocols described in the guidelines for the diagnosis and management of advanced colorectal cancer.
