Organ-Targeting Radioprotective Nanozymes Unlike commonly known radioenhancing similars, rationally designed HfO2 nanoparticles herein are surprisingly radioprotective and capable of selectively targeting top vulnerable normal organs to counteract off-target toxicity during radiotherapy. Under CT image guidance, the multienzyme-mimetic agents can alleviate DNA damage and inflammation in mouse and rabbit models upon hazardous radiation exposure, resulting in prolonged survival.
